#OptOutside Oklahoma, sponsored by Fowler Toyota, is designed to enlighten, educate and encourage the public to get outside, explore and be active in Oklahoma. The #OptOutside movement was started by REI Co-Op as a way to encourage people to reconnect with each other and the outdoors over the holidays. It has since expanded to finding ways to enjoying the outdoors all year-round.
New/old vintage trailers and Airstreams will set up around the perimeter of the Gardens for visitors to see. Camping equipment on the Great Lawn will feature small and large campsite vignettes including tents, chairs, cooking apparatus, as well as bikes designed for casual and trail riding. Kayaks, canoes and stand up paddleboards will be demonstrated on the lake. We will have a hammock grove as well as tiny houses on display.
There will be fly fishing demonstrations, compass reading, and representatives from state parks and the Oklahoma Department of Tourism, among others, to help us with this new event in the Gardens.
